October is our anniversary month and this October we will be celebrating 6 years of Teignmouth & District u3a, with a special monthly presentation at Teignmouth Pavilion on Wednesday 8 October 2025.

This anniversary we are delighted to be joined by His Majesty's Deputy Lieutenant for Devon, Group Captain Gordon Evans DL,  a retired RAF pilot who commanded 28 and 230 Squadrons before becoming a civil aviation pilot in 2000 flying Boeing airliners including the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. He is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Association. With such an interesting and varied career, we will be in for a treat as he entertains us with a presentation on his career to date, followed by (in true Michael Parkinson style) questions devised from our members with John Polley clutching the clipboard.
